Unopened Teaching Session 1

Hi friends! I’m excited to have finally (sort-of) figured out how to post the audio content of the teaching sessions from Unopened. During the 6 weeks of study, a group met on Wednesday nights and we had the best time. Disclaimer: I had the best time.

Anyways, it’s so fun to be able to share it with you here as well.

Underneath the audio file is the text from the print-outs our attendees got each week. Use them however you like! Here’s a link to Day 1 if you have not yet read the first 3 posts:

As always, I’d love to hear any feedback you may have, and definitely appreciate you passing along a message or post to someone you feel it could benefit. Y’all are awesome.

Here’s the listeners guide to help follow along:

Session 1

What are some examples of ‘possible packages’?

How can we describe the package-ridden woman?

Mark 5: 35 –  43

If we are package-ridden, and ________ surviving, we need Jesus to come do a _______ that only he can do.

When Jesus got to work he:

_____________ distractions, _____________ gently, held her __________, and ____________ into her life.

Dealing with our hard things will take the power of our Savior. If we let Him do a work in us, He will “wake us up” and restore our hope in the future He has for us.

Life on Earth = an ______________ of sin, which can lead to _____________ in the form of an unopened, ______________ package.

2  Essential  Questions:

Do you believe He _________ you?                                       Do you believe He _________ you?

When the unexpected things come into our lives, even when they feel like they could become the __________  of us, perhaps they could become the ___________ of us.
